From 22 to 23 November 2023, CMCC hosted the second General Assembly of the SDGs-EYES project in Rome. This meeting served as a moment for partners to come together, share updates, delve into the project’s progress and explore the various pilot activities.

Marco Mancini, fromCMCC and the SDGs-EYES project coordinator, opened the event by welcoming all participants and outlining the objectives and overall intentions of the meeting. The morning session then began with a detailed presentation of the pilot activities by the work package leader.

Following this introduction, each pilot had the opportunity to explain the user surveys, requirements, scientific indicators and workflows associated with its activities. This session promoted alignment within the consortium and ensured a collective understanding of the ongoing initiatives.

Productive Hackathon sessions took place in the afternoon where a demo on the project platform was given showcasing the ways to access/login, workflow structure, data access, and how each pilot can set up their workspaces. This session aimed at allowing pilot developers to work independently on the project’s platform. In parallel a working group focused on the organisation of project workshops and dissemination, communication, and exploitation activities.

The second day of the meeting was dedicated to a comprehensive presentation of the activities within each work package, highlighting the progress made so far and the upcoming steps in the next months. Discussions stimulated valuable exchanges and led to the refinement and evaluation of plans and actions to be implemented.

The General Assembly meeting marked a significant step towards the successful implementation of the SDGs-EYES project activities. The collaboration and shared commitment of the partners over these two days underscores the promising future ahead that will shape a positive impact of the project.
