The SDGs-EYES project’s Pilot 1 – GHG Emissions from Forest Fires workshop took place as planned on 21/06/2024 at The National Statistical Institute – ISTAT office in Rome – Italy following personal support by Mr. Fabio Bacchini – Member of the project’s Evernal Advisory Board.

The demonstration workshop was a per-invitation-only event that aimed at showcasing and collecting feedback from stakeholders about the different services that have been developed so far within Pilot 1. These services demonstrate better and more enhanced data on GHG Emissions from Forest Fires using Satellite Data and Copernicus Services.

Following the agile methodology applied in implementing the SDGs-EYES project, it was crucial to receive feedback from the different stakeholders in order to better optimise and develop the project’s products. CMCC’s Chiara Aquino – member of the pilot development team, showcased the preliminary services that were developed and engaged in a fruitful discussion with the attendees on how to improve the prototype from scientific and technological  perspective. The feedback received from the stakeholders will be used to better fit user needs and develop a more robust service.

Lastly, the SDGs-EYES consortium extends its gratitude and appreciation to ISTAT for hosting the workshop and for being a valuable stakeholder to the project.
